This may be a weird take, but from the opening notes I got this sort of 1970s giallo vibe from the album, like it’s the soundtrack to an uncanny film that exists only in our imagination. That vibe waxes and wanes as the album continues, but it never completely disappears… and the unsettling feeling is why I dig it so much.
